Sherry Rodriguez entered the nonprofit sector in 2019 as a Development Director for Texans Can Academies, a network of Texas high schools serving students who have difficulty excelling in a traditional school setting. In her role, she is responsible for cultivating external relationships and securing resources to assist the organization in meeting its mission.
Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, she worked as an estate planning attorney in Houston. She joined the HYLF Adopt-an-Angel committee in 2015 and served as one of its co-chairs from 2016–2020. She was elected to the HYLF Board of Trustees in 2018.
Sherry is a native Houstonian and a graduate of the Baylor University School of Law (2011) and the University of Texas at Austin (2006). She lives in the Oak Forest area with her husband Chris.
